Muay Thai Kickboxing is one of the most if not the most devastating stand up Martial Arts taught today. In translation, meaning ‘8 limbs’, Muay Thai encompasses the use of not only hands and feet, but also the devastating use of elbows and knees.
Canton Martial Arts has formulated a pattern of how to learn the core fundamentals of Muay Thai, how to transfer these into self defence situations, and how to become
a better fighter if needed. Through our learning process from white belt to black, you are shown how we can use various techniques from Muay Thai to suit your specific body type, and how to defend
various body types, thus making you a well rounded and capable fighter.
Many, if not the majority, of our Muay Thai student base, train for fitness and to learn the art of Muay Thai rather than competition. Using core fundamentals such as: shadow sparring, technique classes, heavy bag work, pad work, sparring, fitness classes and so on, this enables anyone to be able to learn the art form of Muay Thai and get extremely fit at the same time, without the pressure to enter the ring or compete.
Here at Canton Martial Arts, our Muay Thai Kickboxing grading syllabus is unique to us once again. We follow similar grading schedules that many gyms in Thailand do, this enables us and you the student to become a fully qualified and registered Black Belt.
All of our Muay Thai instructors are Black Belt qualified, have all competed, and many still do. They are enthusiastic about teaching Muay Thai, and whether you want to compete, or want to get fit and learn the art, they will help you become the best ‘Thai Boxer’ you possibly can.
