Karate
Due to its incredible foundational training, we encourage every person to study Karate, to practice the foot work and power training developed from this art. Karate training is generally broken down into three parts. These part are; Basics (Kihon), Kata (Often called Patterns or Forms) and Sparring (Kumite). During the training you will also learn self-defence techniques. These may be throws, chokes, writs locks, arm locks, and leg locks.
Karate is for anyone ages 9 years old or older. Under nine years old we run a special Little Samurais programme. Please read below for more information.

Little Samurai Martial Arts Programme
Our award winning children's programme is ideal for those children starting out and want to learn how to defend themselves but have fun at the same time. Our specially designed programme teaches the kids through play and regular award and encouragement to get the most from them. The Little Samurais learn techniques from all Martial arts including: Karate, Muay Thai Kickboxing and Grappling (Ground Fighting). We find teaching them a solid foundation within all the arts helps them achieve a better understanding and a good solid foundation of the arts needed to move up to the adult class once they reach 9/10 years old.
To help get the most out of the children in order for them to achieve their goals we use the following to encourage: A specially designed uniform, their own special belts, monthly skill badges, award badges (handed out once achieved), reward stickers and constant praise and recognition for great effort and ability. Your children will love this class, learn good values and some great skills on this journey.
Please note: All children ages 4 - 8 years old must train in the Little Samurai programme. All children aged 10 years plus must train in the adult class of their choice. Children ages 9 years old have the choice whether to remain within the samurais and to move up to the adult class, they may train within both but must pay the senior fees.

Muay Thai Kickboxing
Muay Thai is at the front of the stand up fighting arts. The main focus for training within this art is: combinations of all bodily weapons practiced in drills both in the air in front of mirrors and also on the various pads, body conditioning, and sparring. There is no Kata (patterns or forms) within Muay Thai Kickboxing. Muay Thai is primarily a fighting art.
Please note: Muay Thai Kickboxing is for anyone ages 9 years and older

Submission Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
Submission Wrestling is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting within the goal of gaining a dominant position, using joint-locks and choke holds to force and opponent to submit or be knocked out depending on what submission method is used.
In class we will also cover takedowns and throws which are common and important in these arts. Within the MMA we will combine the stand up fighting arts with the submission and throws to make one complete class.
Please note: Submission Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA is for anyone ages 10 years or older.
